The Church of Lutterworth provided the living to John Wyclif, the great adversary of Adam.
Lutterworth church contains a fine mediaeval wall painting dating from the periof of Wyclif and featuring the legend of the three dead and the three living. Included as the living appear to be three characters connected with the patronage of Wyclif, King Richard and his Queen, Anne of Bohemia, and his uncle John of Gaunt.
