Margaret Harvey The English in Rome
The English in Rome - Adam has been poorly served by historians in general. He has yet to attract a biographer and the most that has been written about him is usually rather dry and esocteric. Margaret Harvey has done more than most to shed some light onto Adam's story. Her work focuses more on the latter stages of his life when he joined a thiving ex pat community of Englishmen in Rome. It is undoubtedly dry material aimed at the academic world, but it is nonetheless the nearest Adam has come to receiving a full biography.
